Sometimes some websites are not or hardly loading while others fly. The first reason for that can of course be that that specific site/it's server is slow/unreachable. But I find it suspicious that sometimes whole ranges of websites are bad to reach. Or I even had the experience that I couldn't reach a website while someone else elsewhere in the country could.
Are there other "layers" in the connection which can cause these problems? Can it be something with DNS of my ISP? How does that work? Isn't it that as soon as you're online, that there are multiple routes to the server of the website, so that when one crosspoint disconnects, another one can be used?
Connection problems related with DNS?

If it was DNS the symptoms wouldn't be slow loading specifically, but just a big lag before anything actually happens. DNS is just a small first step to get you to the right server.
Sounds like some kind of routing issue where you're going over a busy network or over a slow connection to get to certain geographical locations?
