FTP storage

Post by alex.barylski »

Does Google or Yahoo offer any kind of FTP file storage service/API?

Anyone know of any file hosting service which supports FTP -- FTP being the keyword here. :P

I basically have the need to upload files to a server for archiving purposes. If someone doesn't wish to pay for FTP hosting, I would like to offer them a free alternative.

p.s-Something like this: Amazon Simple Storage Service :D but free. :drunk:

ANything?

I thought Google offered storage from within Gmail, but I don't use it so I cannot help with that.

I don't see what a company stand to gain from such a service. It's not like they can gain advertising revenue over FTP.... just doesn't sound viable.

S3 is really cool by the way :)
