I'm currently reading...

Please don't reel off a list of all 20-30 books you've ever read; what are you reading currently? :D

Refactoring - Improving the Design of Existing Code
-- Martin Fowler & others

xUnit Test Patterns - Refactoring Test Code
-- Gerard Meszaros

Apparently I'm interested in approaches to refactoring and sexy unit tests right now.

Maybe this could become a super thread like the editors one; kept up to date as new books come out?

Just sat down to rereading Eric Evan's Domain-Driven Design when I saw this post. DomainModel is on my mind...

I'm surprised you haven't picked up on xSpec and BDD yet, Chris.

Anyway. I'm reading (when I've got nothing else to do or need them for reference):
User Stories Applied: For Agile Software Development
Fit For Developing Software: Framework For Integrated Tests (Not long finished this one.)
and this one is on the cards:Integrating Agile Development in the Real World

I will do, once the bandwagon has slowed down :P

j/k, it's just another one of those things to get into when I have a new project to employ it in.

I currently have the following books which I read daily in short bursts (2-3 chapters/day):

1) Postfix: The Definitive Guide
2) Linux administration handbook
3) CodeCraft
3) UML distilled
4) Mathematics for the Millions (for about the 7th time)
5) Eating for life
6) From the ground up (for about the 90th time)

The majority of my day is spent reading...articles, business journals, newsletters, forum messages, etc.

I am very slow to actually finish a book or an article. I typically have re-read every chapter several times inorder to remember everything and comprehend what it's saying.

So 2-3 chapters may only take 30 minutes, but when I repeat 3-4 times it's more like 2 hours.

I'm reading Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere" again. It's not about coding.

If I was choosing between knitting, gardening and PHP I reckon PHP would win every single time for me.

Although, that said, writing a knitting pattern designer using GD might be fun.
