Training Video -- YouTube?

Post by alex.barylski »

I have some training videos I have made for my application and I obviously need to show these to my users. Although my server has some intense bandwidth (2000GB) the file is almost 15 minutes long.

I see one of my competitors has put a testimonial for their product on YouTube -- so I wonder if posting a product/feature/training tutorial would be acceptable as well???

Anyone know if the terms allow this? Is it only for open source projects? Can commercial systems do the same?

As long as it's not adult content or a ripped video of a soon to be released album you really don't have anything to worry about.

If bandwidth is a concern.. check out Amazon S3 to deliver your file... that's about the cheapest bandwidth you can get on the net right now. I hear it works fairly well. I'll probably experiment with it later in the year. Apparently smugmug saves $800,000/yr using S3.
