I use Edit Plus 3. Not sure how it compares to some of the others; aside from Notepad (the orignal), it's all I've used.

Me - Dec 5Dear Josh, could you please send us the screenshots of Tools->Settings->IDE Settings
and export of the registry HKCU\Software\NuSphere\phped59\
(sends screenshots of that registry, and of the settings[/quote]Heres the IDE settings. Im not sure what you mean with the registry. Here is what I see when I open regedit.
Me - Dec 9Dear Josh, thank you. We really need the export of the registry, not the screenshot. Also,
how do you start the IDE? Do you click on php files or on Desktop icon, or using Start->programs->nusphere->phped?
If you start it using Start->programs->nusphere->phped does Workspace get loaded?
Many thanks, Support
Me - Dec 12I'm using a shortcut to "C:\Program Files (x86)\NuSphere\PhpED\phped.exe"
I asked you in my previous email how do I export the registry step by step. Thanks
(I send them a registry export, not sure how to do it properly because I don't know alot about registries, they still have not told me step by step what to do.) It may seem like I am being unresponsive but keep in mind their messages come in without any context whatsoever, since I cant even view my own ticket. Keep in mind I have 10+ bug reports open with them at a time and I can barely tell which is which, let alone remember the context or our ticket without searching my emails. The fact they dont have a proper ticket system is an absolute mockery.A few Days and you are not helping me help you. Please tell me exactly what you want me to do step by step for the registry export. Do you want me to export my whole machine's registry?
(I am a little confused and thought when I exported the "root" of my registry it would included everything)Dear Dave, you need to run command 'regedit', select HKCU\Software\NuSphere\phped59\ there, select "export" from the menu, save it to a file, zip that file and send it to us please.
Hope it helps, sorry for all these troubles.
Best Regards, Support
Them - Dec 14I am getting a little impatient!
I just sent the FULL registry in my last email and my name is NOT Dave!
Josh
me - Dec 14Dear Josh, I am very sorry - I typed in a wrong name. I was answering this question you asked in the previous note:
Them - Dec 16Yes it makes sense but I already sent you the FULL registry export. The fact I can't log in and view my tickets history is pretty crappy.
( they want the same screenshot sent again and again?). They want me to "tell them how I start the IDE" over and over again. I simply don't have the time for this crap.Dear Josh, first of all we are very sorry that this issue is taking so long - it is quite unusual. We are obligated and absolutely willing to help you, but unfortunately we are having miscommunications problem and we would like to do our very best to resolve it.
UNfortunately in the file you sent us there seem to be the export of only HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\h1cfile while we need
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NuSphere\phped59\.
We think you missed the step of selecting HKCU\Software\NuSphere\phped59\ after regedit and before doing export
We also would like to get the file in the zip, to make sire there is no corruption
and the screenshot of Tools->Settings->IDE, description of how do you open PhpED:
by clicking on PHP files or by clicking PHPED iconon the Desktop?
If it is the latter we need the screenshot of the properties of that icon
We hope it helps.
Thank you very much for your patience in this matter.
Sincerely, support
Me- December 26Here is the proper registry export (I asked *multiple* times for the steps to do this). Now you finally provided steps so here it is.
Yes I agree there is a communication issue, (ON YOUR END) I already answered the rest of your questions in previous emails. Must I actually repeat myself? If so, please provide a URL where I can visit to view the ticket's history.
Josh
I sent them a link to this thread. Now that is is public lets see if they are going to start being proactive.I have not heard back in 2 weeks. Since this has been open for months I might just have to leave bad reviews on devnetwork.net, a php forum of which I have over 3,000 posts and am highly respected. I do not wish to hurt your sales but you have charged me for a product you refuse to bugfix.

Oh come on, you can't be serious.
Tell me what you want a screenshot of. You want to see the blank
workspaces pane? I have 4 "screens"

Any Vim user (myself included) would hardly call that minimalomniuni wrote:That's why my editor of choice is the wonderfully minimal Kate.
Starting with vim takes only half an hour (+ 5-10 minutes for every new feature you need). Mastering it is another matter (and hardly achievable goal to be honest) - I use vim exclusively for about 5 years already and still find something new from time to time.omniuni wrote:I'd rather learn how to do something useful in PHP, or write some code I need than spend a week learning a new text editor.
I've just tried that... it's not really useful. Couldn't even close a fold with 'zc'.That said, Kate has a "Vi Input Mode"... you can guess what it does...
