You Know What's Fun?

Post by supermike »

You know what's fun?

I had a potential client email me, asking me to do some elaborate site for him. I'm in the USA, to give you a context on my rate a little, and that I'm an experienced developer that does realistic timelines usually and realistic pricing. Anyway, I came back with 200 hours, and that was pushing it. Well, he came back with 30 hours, and said he had a developer in Scotland who could deliver it to him for that timeframe. I called a huge bull on that one, but oh well -- he was not convinced.

So what's fun? It's fun to email that potential client back after 30 hours has passed and ask if his developer has finished the site yet, and to let the potential client know you're available for work, should they need any help on this project still.

I always love it when a loser client finally gets a freaking clue.
