Developer Teams and Wikis

Hi all,
I'm new to the board, and am sure I'll be on here more in the future, hopefully I can help some people out.
First of all though, I thought I'd ask for some advice myself.
At work, our development team has begun to grow so I'm looking to write a Wiki in order to give coding guidelines, details of where certain code is kept, what code libraries are available etc. so that there is a permanent reference for them - and for members joining the team.
So far - this knowledge has been passed directly from developer to developer but isn't a great idea for obvious reasons!
I just wanted to get an idea from anybody here who has the same sort of thing setup in their team: how is it structured? What are the main sections to the Wiki, are there are any parts of the Wiki (content-wise) that are particularly useful to your and your team?
Any comments would be appreciated!
Thanks
Dave
