Looks like a cached DNS record still pointing to my previous host... It's unusual to see them cached this long however.

arjan, it's slow because it's Serendipity. Nobody will ever accuse it of being either optimised or cache friendly. 2-4s is still better than it has been in the past ;).

DNS change must not have propagated all over the world yet. URL is still sending you to the old IP (dreamhost).

Lol. Here they are still marketing and trying to sell the current iPhone model even though Ireland's primary network is G3 and a model for that is inbound. I'm suspicious about the iPhone release here - it came just a while ago right as older model stocks are apparently running out elsewhere. Anyone else smell a game of foisting something old on a new demand market to maximise stock clearing?

Dude, your blog loads smoking fast for me.

I am in the final stages of provisioning my newest server. I just need to figure out this DNS crap on the server itself. Otherwise, I am a happy Everah.

I've migrated a few more applications, optimised the configuration, and shifted gears to a 512MB slice. The blog is only one part of what's been hosted but the server is nicely balanced. I was monitoring during yesterday - swap usage was minimal, load was nominal, and all applications were putting the Roadrunner to shame ;).

About to cancel/downgrade 2 other hosting accounts so it works out nicely for my wallet even.
