setting up a script

Post by nate »

I have a script that I would like to setup and test
(http://www.devdaily.com/blog/post/perl/ ... -web-site/)

but I know very little about CGI and Perl and was wondering if anyone out there could help me set it up.

This project is the same as my previous post "simple, automatic textarea saving/backup"

This task is for a project site, that can be given to the owners of a website or the webmaster, once the designer has finished the site, so that the webmaster or HTML newbie can edit (host details, content backup, etc) the project site without any help.

I finally found a script that can save to/edit a separte file from within an HTML page but I know very little of Perl, CGI or how to set up these types of scripts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Nate
