Recommended PHP Forum Software

Post by volomike »

I have a client wanting to use Vanilla Forums, but said he's open to other forum packages as well if I can make a case for it. I think he's interested in WYSIWYG editors in the forums, which Vanilla currently doesn't have, and wants the forum to be theme-able with the rest of the website. Use of AJAX (even small use) is a plus.

A Wikipedia comparison is here.

I'm interested in which forum package you have used and recommended.

Phorum's template system is the best hands-down from any of the clientside templating systems I've dealt with.
