Please help me decide on a name

Post by deeessay »

Hi there, I don't need help in programming but rather help in deciding on a name for my program...

I wanted it to be an acronym. I'm working on a calendar for our company but I just can't come up with a catchy name. I was thinking of iDATE or iEVENTS but I just cannot fill every letter with a meaningful word. Our company's name starts with the letter i, hence iDATE/iEVENTS.

Can anyone give me some suggestions? words that has something to do with planning and organizing events, so far I've come with:

i - i (our company name)
D - Daily
A -
T -
E -
================
i - i (our company name)
E -
V -
E -
N -
T -
S - Schedule

I know it was not much that is why I need everyone's input in this. any help will be greatly appreciated =)

Have you talked to Apple about using those names? I'm not sure, but since Apple owns all those i* names already you might want to check that first before investing in using those.

At least if you pick a name like that you don't have to worry about building a big, well know brand. It's already been taken care of :)

One thing to remember is that noone is ever going to google 'idate' or 'ievents'. Using a proper word (or two words) is a good idea from and SEO point of view.

yeah i guess you're right... but do they really (Apple)?

anyway, does anyone have a suggestion? I'm still stuck with a bland working title... =(

Funny isn't it? we spend so much time developing a project but when it comes to actually naming the program, one is at a loss for words...
