8O note to self: never rely on digg.

cool, well ive already ordered the 16gb now and i should be receiving it monday / tuesday, its actually sold out everywhere in Middlesbrough, and from what o2 customer support have said so are there shops nationwide, its only the 16gb available online through the o2 site.

we'll see if i can get a free upgrade a few months down the line if i want one.

I. Cannot. Wait. :!:

I have the BlackBerry Curve right now and even though I had a BlackBerry before, I just can't stand this phone.

I've owned an iPod Touch and that has to have been the greatest little piece of technology I've ever owned. I can't wait to basically have another one that can make & receive calls. ;)

Plus syncing the Curve with my MacBook has been an absolute nightmare. I'd love the fluid/easy syncing the iPhone would offer via iTunes.

well i ordered mine over the phone with o2 on saturday morning speaking to 3 different 'sales staff' confirming that they definitely had the 16gb in stock as i had been told earlier in the week by staff in the o2 shop that they were sold out everywhere, i called this morning to check on status of my iPhone and to make sure it had been dispatched, i was told my order had been referred and after being on hold for 15 minutes was then told it was because they were out of stock.

I flipped on the guy, to be fair it wasnt his fault but how they can take £330 of my money when they know fine well it was sold out is beyond a joke, im guessing they get commission on sales.....

I am now watching a few on eBay and am gonna make sure i jailbreak it and go PAYG, just to smurf o2 over like they have me.

Like i said im watching a few at the £290 - £300 mark on eBay but if anyone has any offers for me i'd be willing to listen, payment made via confirmed business paypal account, business credit card or standard credit card.

That sucks Mal!!

If you are now playing a waiting game, how about waiting until after next week. Not so you can purchase an iPhone 2, but becuase the market will be flooded with original iPhones because of people upgrading, which should bring the price down.

Shame you didnt want to get one a month or so ago as O2 were selling them for £169

Yeah, they sold like hotcakes at £169. They were that price for a good few weeks.

Have all your local O2 stores sold out!?

You know you can walk into an O2 store and buy one without signing a contract!?
