Happy Father's Day

Post by RobertGonzalez »

I know we are an international community, and I know that Father's Day is primarily if not entirely an American holiday. But I just wanted to wish all father's on this board a big fat happy Father's Day from a fellow father.

May you enjoy this day to its fullest whether you are father or not. For those that do not celebrate Father's Day... happy Sunday. ;)

Ok, so now I am feeling old, paternal and singular. Oh wait, I am a dad. I feel like that all the time.

It is actually much more international that I thought. And a lot of countries use the same date (the third Sunday in June). Likewise with Mother's Day.

Father's Day http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fathers_day
Mother's Day http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother%27s_Day

Looks like Father's Day started in the US, but Mother's Day goes back to the Romans or further....
