Domain name problem?

Post by thiscatis »

Hi there!

I've recently renewed a domain with godaddy.com
Since then only the http://www.mysite.com goes to my server (not on godaddy).
mysite.com just goes to a parking page from godaddy.

Any ideas?

I have no experience with Godaddy, but if I were you I would read their FAQ's and/or send off an e-mail to godaddy.

I have a lot of experience with GoDaddy and I would advise you to call their tech support. They will lead you through fixing the problem in minutes. Their control panel interface is a nightmare, but their tech support is great. And free (but it's not a toll free number).

Are you using GoDaddy's DNS servers or some other DNS servers? If you are using GoDaddy's you can visit their Total DNS Control Panel and review the DNS zone record for your domain. It sounds like you only have a www A record but no A record for the domain name only.
