Why Google & Amazon Backend for Your Apps Won't Fly

Geesh. One more reason why it's not a good idea just yet to move all your apps to Google or Amazon's backend. Although the problem below is Amazon's, who's to say it won't happen on Google?

Plain and simple, it's alluring to think of using their powerful backend for your PHP (when/if they finally support that), but will suck when stuff starts breaking and they are too big to listen to your microscopic needs (relatively speaking).

Well, I don't see why a snafu like that couldn't happen on your servers. It's just that you have to wait for them to fix it. ;-)

Failures happen: your servers, Google's servers, and Amazon's servers. It happens. Keep in mind though...its more fun to be able to blame others.
