I've just requested an account over at SourceForge (ugh)...I will probalby post it over on Google Code as well...

Ideally I needa bug tracker, SVN, TODO list and custom software and domain.

Does SF allow you to map a custom domain to their server? I believe (from memory of three years ago) I can also upload applications such as a phpBB, WordPress or Wiki as required???

I would use the SF forums but I want to excersize a little more control over what gets said, etc so I would like to disable the SF forums and just use a copy of phpBB -- possible?

If SF is not the best solution to meet my requirements, do you have an alternative solution??? Google Code? Basically I need free (almost entirely customized) server space for an open source project...custom software such as Wiki, phpBB, WordPress are also kinda required.

The MooTools group just started using Lighthouse. You might want to try looking at that, though I'm not sure if their feature set meets your requirements. They have a free account which you could gradually scale up as your needs require it.

I'm not sure exactly if it's the hosting you're looking for or the software or both rolled into one. If you can get your own hosting, you could try Trac or Bugzilla as well. Google groups and project hosting is okay, but it really depends on the project, I think.

I just found another one today that might work as well, but it doesn't have a custom domain for free: http://www.assembla.com/

SourceForge has some pretty draconic limits on what you can use resource/space-wise, so if you plan on using a lot of custom software, you're really going to have go with paid hosting. What kind of OS project are you thinking of?

I'll probably go with shared hosting...just use SF for the file hosting/bandwidth...I only really them for a marketing perspective same reason I'd submit to freshmeat or Google Code, etc...

Google Code has SVN, a ToDo (issues) list, and a wiki.
