Wiki-like Application Suggestions please :)

Post by MrPotatoes »

I need some help. I have dreamhost and I'm trying to put something together that seems to be fraking impossible.

I want a wiki like application where I can put information into a document with a clear cut TOC like page. The problem is that I want it simple. I want it so that I can write the overall process of my project(s) but I do not want anyone to be able to register and add info. i want it to be very simple and very easy as I do not want to put work into installing, administering it and/or putting information into it.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

I was going to use Trac but the install is not easy (I got it working but not well) but there is no project management in there.

Any suggestions?

What Linux Distro is the Dreamhost server? and do you have SSH access?

Might be able to help you set up a TRAC.

I've actually been screwing around with Trac. I want to install some plugins and redo the template but I don't know how to do it. It's such an issue to do anything in it.

I used dreamy trac to install Trac and create projects. Makes things a lot easier. It's the templates though. I want something that looks similar to the edgwall website. Ideas, help? Or a php version of Trac?

All help very much appreciated.
