Munich's administration considered switching to linux (some parts). A consultancy was hired to evaluate the effects and possible impacts and linux got a higher rating than windows. But then micorosoft reduced the price drastically. Still the rating for linux is higher than for windows (that's what the gossip tells) but the recommendation turned upside down and suggests windows now.
Not that I think a company shouldn't be allowed to sponsor prestige projects but still there is no reasonable explaination for the 180° twist. It might be that microsoft is the better choice but who knows since the once quite public evaluation and discussion has been terminated? (e.g. the summary of the evaluation and esp. the new extensions will be available not until the decision has been made). This raises suspicions.

Hmm, annoying people who really get irritated too quick, those Microfuk people..

Interesting news two weeks ago, about Dell and Linux Notebooks.. (http://www.globetechnology.com/servlet/ ... echnology/) Then I heard Microsuck started complaining against Dell, because they have something like a prise-arrangement and want Dell to only sell smurf.

I'm not perse a microshock hater, i just use what works the best for me.. Microsoft is an all none-microsoft hater.
