" Test your color IQ "

Post by pickle »

Saw this test & thought this community would be interested.

Basically it's a test to determine how well you can differentiate between hues. A lower number is better.

My score was 12, the best in my age & gender group (Male, 20-29) is 0, the worst is 1520.

48 for me (also Male, 20-29).
Interesting test.

My eyes hurt now.
Edit: in a really quick try (about 1 minute), got a score of 285. I was trying to see how high I could get. Anyone care to beat me? :)
edit: heh, I restarted the test and immediately hit "submit results" and got 990... I guess having it in reverse order isn't going to get you a high score.

I got 7...

Looking at the chart now after giving my eyes a few seconds to relax I can spot my errors in the last two rows anyways. :P

I reckon I'd have scored better on a CRT monitor rather than my laptop.

It's weird but I swear LCD's are less sharp of an image that CRT. My desktop monitor is horrible at displaying light colors like fine grey

#eaeaea or #aeaeae is barely visible on my desktop monitor and clear as day on my much smaller LCD laptop monitor.

Is everyone seeing the same colors or are they randomized each time?

Poor eyesight is usually caused be a problem with the lens not focussing the image properly on the retina. Color is down to the retina itself ... nothing to do with the lens.

They're randomized. If you reload the test a bunch of times & each time just hit submit, you'll get a different bad score.
