Ah, the joys of a sitting duck president.

I'm tempted to lock this.
Politics are a big no-no. Keep it clean boys/girls.

*Sticks out hand*
Please? Just a few million? You'd hardly even notice it.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill, "Never in the field of human finance was so much owed by so many because of the corrupt ineptitude of so few."
It is amazing how you take the basic idea that "businessmen will act honestly" and wrap in in a couple of hot-button social issues, then slap on a coat of fear -- and here we are. America is reduced to a pathetic shell of itself. I guess we got what we deserved after behaving so badly for so long.
And now the government guys who believed in and sold us the "businessmen will act honestly" idea are in charge of helping all those same businessmen. And surprise, the government guys are requiring very little because of course those businessmen will act honestly.

These particular gentlemen, who are going to walk away in a few months, are in no way stupid. They knew exactly what they wanted to do and they did it.onion2k wrote:Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.
