Holidays & New Years plans?

I'm not religious but I'll enjoy some time with family and friends later this afternoon today and tomorrow and Xmas dinner with my neighbor. Also this will be a first in years that I won't have to complain about the stores being closed during the middle of the week as I actually have enough milk in the fridge.
New Year's eve is a bust in Sarasota. They don't do any fireworks most likely because while it's a reasonably sized city it's also a retirement town first and foremost and that sucks because they have a perfectly sized open bay...plus it's one of the two or three months where it's likely not to be 80F at midnight with 100% humidity...likely. I'll have to see if a friend wants to drive to Tampa or something though I'm also perfectly content to work on code.
So what plans be it social or not does everyone else have?
