How to set view defaults across ALL the folders in Vista?
I am running Vista Home Premium, and I am trying to set the defaults in such a way that all the folders show icons as medium size and not the stupid list view, and also that the icons are ALWAYS sorted by type...
Any ideas people?

I would just ditch vista and install Linux honestly. That would solve any Vista problem you may have.

Click "Organize" to the left of 'view.' Click "folder and search options." Click the "View" tab in the resulting popup and select the options that reflect the view you want. Then click the "Apply to all folders" button.

Bill H very helpful, unfortunately it doesnt work for me though. I for one shelled out the $300 for it
I have to make sure all my client side stuff works on it. I also looked for a registry hacked and implemented it, alas it didn't solve it either.

Maybe your hacking around in the registry is why it isn't working properly.

Guess I'm doomed to a life of 16 x 16px icons then lol
