Stare at a screen for 14 hours per day and a dark background helps
Seriously?
Do any of you wear glasses? I don't but just 30 seconds looking at these screens and the first thing I was thinking is how do you stare at a black screen, my eyes are just bleeding.
Then again, my eyes cannot even adjust to the ClearType font...source code has to be sharp and no blending like web pages, etc or my eyes get sore very quickly.
Might I suggest you update to a newer, more environmentally friendly, not to mention radiation friendly LCD monitor?
It scares me to think all the years I spent in front of those nasty CRT monitors, even when they started coming out with low radiation logo's at boot...all I know is I better morph into the Incredible Hulk if any mutation happens, otherwise I'm gonna some <span style='color:blue' title='I'm naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span>.
Ever done those puzzles where you stare at an inverted image, for 30 seconds... and then stare at a wall and your eyes trick you into seeing the "real" picture. Thats what dark computer screens do to me. I can be on a black website for not even 5 minutes and I start seeing inverted text all over my house.. can't do it. Speaking of dark backgrounds whats up with the default colors on putty?
