It's not really an easy thing to automate. Traditionally we'd just tell people to use proper thread titles, use proper English (as in don't use AOLSpeak), and to use code tags etc. But sheer capacity of such threads and lack of moderator activity (there are a few of us around, but I'll be the first to admit that I don't often scan through the "PHP Code" forum due to general "noise").

Maybe we need more moderators who are spending time in General Discussion and in PHP Code. Most of my time is spent checking the Theory and Design forum and the Testing forum.

~feyd was good at being anal about good forum etiquette and keeping things tidy around here.

Funny is all very well, but I've been following it because I thought it was going to teach me how to do stuff.

So far it hasn't even made it clear what stuff is or where to put it. (It's provided a few hints on where to put it.)

I've also tried but got "parse error" or something like that. Didn't really pay any attention but posted a new thread instead, "HELP PLEASE!"...

If you guys can help me I'd be so greatful!

It's on row 29.

thanks!

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right forum but I don't really care anyway -
I need a brilliant developer to help me develop a simple site that will be a big hit. It should be like google, but with social community features and outlook integration. I already have all the designs, so you just have to implement, very simple.

I can't pay you as I have no money (that I want to spend on you), but instead I offer my eternal gratitude and a special badge on my site. Please, only serious offers, spare me your sarcastic remarks. email me your CV to totalwanker@gmail.com

Don't miss out this amazing opportunity!!
