Blackberry import

Post by alex.barylski »

I want to copy the contacts from my old phone into my crackberry...

Unfortunately i have to manually move the contacts from the old phone...so I would like to create a CSV file or similar...then import the CSV into the blackberry as I can connect via USB with that device...

I have googled and found only techniques for importing from outlook -- which I do not have.

Anyone do anything like this or know of a web service which might allow me to easily manage contacts via web based interface?

Whatever you do, make sure you back up your stuff. I had no end of problems, just doing a simple upgrade, but luckily I backed everything up - it was still a mission.

The blackberry should come with software to allow you to move from one blackberry to another.

Here is my proof...http://www.forum.jaoudestudios.com/view ... berry#p574

On one of the newer desktop manager versions (4.7) there are options to use contacts in a variety of ways.

Outlook
Outlook Express
ASCII Importer/Exporter
Yahoo!

So I would think the ASCII would be what you are looking for, although I haven't tried it
