Hello. I attended the University of Michigan and have been making web sites since 1994. I have been programmin in php for about 5 years now. My biggest passions are cycling, mountain biking, and coding.

I started out doing sites in perl/cgi, then cold fusion sites, moved onto PHP, and now I mostly write backend stuff for all kinds of sites large and small. I also work in C#, C++, and Java where needed.

The latest thing I have gotten into is Adobe Flex, its pretty darn cool.

Hi all, I'm a 27 year-old professional web developer in Toronto, Canada.

I use php / xhtml / css / javascript / mysql. All my code is hacked out line by line in EditPlus.

I work full-time from home developing websites and web-based systems. I also administer/moderate a law enforcement forum/wiki/website. These days I'm mostly developing xml-based frameworks with a XUL-based front-end.

I live and work in an apartment with 2 roommates, my girlfriend and a big fat lazy cat who sleeps all day next to my monitor... talk about motivational :?

I like movies with good plots (mysteries++), I love it when a plan comes together, and I always order #316 at the Vietnamese "pho" restaurant across the street: BBQ chicken, "proc" balls and spring roll on vermicelli. Mmmmmm, tasty.

Oh, and my name is...... (pause for dramatic effect) ........Kieran Huggins!

There are a few of them... My local one is at Steeles & Yonge. There's another one on the west side of Spadina just south of Dudas.. it's called Pho XeLua. There's a green sign out front with a picture of a train. Try #316..... the pho (noodle soup) is good too.

Just wanted to identify myself before I start posting random thoughts around the forum =)

A/S/L?
21/M/Copenhagen - Denmark ( )

Så pænt goddag allesammen (so hello everybody).

I'm currently studying a lot (distributed systems, databasedesign and stuff like that).
I work as a consultant for various projects involving IT.
..and I'm part of a small 3-man software company.

The reason I took the time to register here (not including this fabolous intro) is simply a burning desire to discuss ideas, problems and solutions I've come up with over the years - that, and I'm facing an update on my company's PHP5 web-framework which could probably benefit from some debate.

So... What can I bring to the table? Well..
I've been hacking away on all kinds of code the last 8 years.
My main focus is software architecture (and using PHP5, Java or C# implementing various OO-stuff), but I'm also fluent in HTML, JavaScript and CSS.. I do Photoshop too =)

Comics? Yes, Marvel (extensive collection, mostly spiderman & x-men).
OS? OS X.
Coffee/Tea? Green Tea!
Geeky? Hell yeah, chix digg that!
Sports? well.. yeah.. (sorry).. Wing Tsun

Be a happy Dolphin

Hi All, thought I might post in here because I will hopefully be around quite often...

My name is Justin and I'm from the Sunshine Coast on Australia's east coast. I am currently 21 years of age. I love designing and developing websites, going to parties, driving my car, and listening to music.

I have been designing and developing basic websites for about 6 years now. I started working with PHP, in 2005 by tweaking certain elements of free-for-all forums such as phpBB.

I am now working full-time as a web developer, using HTML, CSS, MySQL, PHP and Javascript and have taught myself a lot of the basics which I use on a very regular basis, I learn something new every day, its not bad getting paid to learn.

So far you all have been a great help and I thank you very much for that...

Hi I am Karen and I Love Lovely Stuff :-)

Hi, I am Karen.

I in 1997 I was studying 3D game development.
Yes, I am one of them Quake girls that kicked your booty :D

My older sister too.
She showed me that I could make 3D worlds.
(in Quake and Duke3D)

Anyway, then was just at school and studied art.
Then eventually got Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver.
And kept learning them over the past couple of years.
Now I'm playing with PHP.
And just started two websites with a good friend Lisa, and an old computer geek dude Jack.
(we are friend with his daughter who is overseas and she's not into web design or the internet)
So we are utilizing all those elements mentioned above and having fun.

It is good to find your forum.
We will keep in touch.

Best Wishes,
Karen.
