Some examples of what not to do are ne1, any1 (anyone); u (you); ur (your or you're); 2 (to too); prolly (probably); afaik (as far as I know); etc.

Hello :D

I'm from Dallas ( no Texas jokes please lol) I have been tinkering with php code for about 2 years now, mostly out of necessity ( I was running phpnuke and had to "fix" almost every module for it before they would work correctly *shakesfist*) . I am currently trying to expand out to using my own scripts etc etc..

Just thought I'd drop in and say hi before posting a question. So.... Hi :)

Greetings fallows!

My name is Dan, I'm 20 and I've recently made a return to web programming after several years of absence. I started working with PHP back when version 4 first launched, and being little more than a kid, I didn't really understand coding logic at all.

Now I'm back to my old tricks because I have some sort of direction now. I'm currently working on a platform to run my upstart record label off of. Should be cool stuff.

I look forward to getting involved here. Hopefully it will make the process of learning PHP 5 and all this new Web 2.0 nonsense and standards (which are actually very exciting to me).

Either way, that's my piece. I always feel bad posting on a new forum without saying hi first.

Hi All,

I've been hacking about other peoples PHP code for the past couple of years but I wouldn't call myself a PHP Programmer. Most of my PHP time has been spent creating my one main site (see sig) and it's that which brings me to this wonderful ( ;) ) forum!

I'm more than a little protective of my site and tight when it comes to spending money so now that I wish to update my site. My aim is to Ajax'ify the input forms and page presentations to make the whole site a little more slick. I especially like the input system used on the Blosker website which I'd like to imitate.

Anywho, that's about as interesting as I get. Hope to meet and learn from some cool people here :)

Cheers, p.
