Hello

Post by jsprankle »

I have always been a computer geek, but never for a living. I recently started a new job where I have time as a side project to code some in teractive web projects. I have never coded in my life, but have always wanted to start. PHP/Mysql here I come. I ran across this board searching for answers. Glad I found it!!! :D

I believe the parental consent form is for users that are 13 years old and younger. Sorry for the hassle in getting into the forums.

Hi, my name is Isaac and I'm (surprisingly .... ) a software engineer.
Up until 4 months ago I worked at Mercury Interactive (now HP Interactive) in Israel.

I was in the development team of LoadRunner.
I mainly work with C++, Java and PHP.

Since then I moved to New York, and opened my own business

Hi,

I'm a linux admin who is meta-morphing into a developer. I ain't really planned on coding but it seems that the way my life is going. I was a perl programmer for a short contract but didn't enjoy it because i didn't know what i was doing and it was a stress due to my lack of knowledge (note: knowledge not talent). I wouldn't advise being a perl programmer after being in IT for a year and half and only doing support previously. Anyway i really enjoy coding when there is something to be achieved, otherwise it p1ss' me off. i got some more experience now, so kudos to me.

i'm glad to see a UI forum. it's an area that interests me.

i've been using paintshop for websites recently and even though i'm not the best graphic designer i'm getting the hang of it. i tried xara but it wasn't my cup of tea because it was sh1t (as much as i wanted to like it due to the open source goodness).

happy data streams everyone

New here...been developing PHP for a long time, but never really got in to a dev forum before.

Started off doing Coldfusion, moved to ASP and then PHP commercially, but always been doing PHP generally (well for about 6yrs now)

Currently work as head development for a small web development company in the UK. Don't do many big sites, but lots of bespoke bits.
