Ye' old general discussion board. Basically, for everything that isn't covered elsewhere. Come here to shoot the breeze, shoot your mouth off, or whatever suits your fancy. This forum is not for asking programming related questions.
I live in Texas and am new to PHP. I have worked in MS Access and VBA for years but want to move to a web based program rather than a PC based one so PHP and mysql, here I come. I am self taught and hope to use this forum to get some newbie as well as advanced help. I already have my first simple program in mind and hope to get it up and running withing a month or two. It will require that a person logs in and only able to change his own information. I know that PHP and mysql can do that, I just have to get there, hopefully with your help. Once I get that to work, I am sure that I will be able to convert some of my other programs to online ones.
Hello? is any one read? jk I'm just someone who started learning php out of necessity, and realized how amazing it is. I knew c++ before this, so I knew how much you could do with this compared to html or java, and it was pretty easy to learn.

Hi there
Newbie here, I'm a freelance web designer just getting back on track.
I've been learning for under a year now and still have a long way to go with php, mysql etc.
I would like to learn php as much as I can and hopefully to help others on this forum.
My goal is to learn the more complicated php using it for websites.
I'm Cristian, from Italy. I learnt PHP4 at an intermediate level back in 2002 and now, after two or three years out of the business, I'm back in trying to pave my way through PHP5 and OOP. Thank you for this amazing forum!
