Hi,

I'm working as a web developer from the end of 2004th and currently I'm a project manager in a small software company. I'm Zend certified, I'll try to get a MySQL certificate this year. I have some experience with C++, Pascal, OpenGL and Game Maker. Before I start working as a web developer, I was trying to be a game developer ;-) I love books and have some stories written, I don't like TV at all (except for the Jericho series), and if you want to know something more about me, feel free to ask. I rather open this topic again, so use PM instead.

Nice to meet you!

Hello,

My name is Glen and I'm just learning PHP. I'm a .Net developer in my day job specializing in infrastructure and system integration applications. I'm primarily learning PHP since it's a very stable web solution, and my brother has a small business web site that I'm administering.

That's all for now, see you on the boards. :)

Hola!

Not used forums for a long time now, but going to get back into it. I'm 22, head developer for a new media agency in the UK. I've worked with major organisations including: Asics, Flora, Adidas, Cancer Research, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and The London Marathon.

I use mainly PHP but have experience with Java, VB, C, C++, JavaScript, jQuery and Ruby.

Hopefully going to be helping out as many people as I can. :)

An Introduction [Sorry for not posting in the sticky thread]

Post by shadowspyre86 »

Hi there.
My name is David. I'm 24 and will be attending IUPUI in the fall to obtain my Master's degree. Currently, I work an enjoy 9-5 job, though I had recently graduated college back in May of 08 for web design. I've been seeking a job ever since, though I've been having trouble.

Mainly, my lacking portfolio and confidence. By going back for my Master's, I'm hoping to deal with both of these issues, though obviously I want to do what I can on the side. I'll be starting a Blog soon (Possible a V-Log as well). I'd appreciate any and all advice and tips that can be provided. I love what I've learned an dmade so far with PHP and want to continue coding in it, namely for a living. Again, any suggestions on how to do this, resources, or even just viewing of things I create and critiqueing them all will help me in this endeavour, and I hope there will be some here that will help. I'm in my current situation mainly due to bad luck, a lack of knowing what I wanted to focus on, and my own mistakes. I've learned to forgive myself. Now I want to move on and succeed. I'm not attempting to present myself as over-dramatic. My little confession isn't to draw pitty or anything like that. I just want to present myself as who I am, and give you knowledge about myself.

On a lighter note, I'm thinking of also (In the spare time) working on doing video walkthroughs for games, so that may be something to look forward too. (Granted, my free time will probably be speant working on coding) If there are any trading card or video game fans here, I'm always willing to discuss those. I hope to do what I can to, if not be necessarily an extremely active member of this site, at least take part on this little community.

Thank you very much for having taken the time to read this lengthy post, and I hope we can all become friends.
