Hi all, My names Michael. I just started PHP a few months ago, I think I've got a pretty good handle on it so far. I started out with HTML and javascript in 5th grade, I've touched base with a lot of languages over the years. Some of my favorites are C#, VB6, and C++

unfortunately I have no degree or certification, so I'm merely a hobby programmer. At the moment I'm working on a browser game, obviously PHP and mysql are great for it. I thought it would be a good Idea to join a forum like this in case I hit any snags, haven't found any yet. Well none that I couldn't handle.

Anyway I hope to answer a few questions as well as ask a few. I don't have much PHP experience but I'm a fast learner, and can usually find an answer if I don't know myself, :)

Hi everyone!

I just joined a few days ago, and love this place so far. I joined because of the Coding Critique section... it's exactly what I was looking for!

I've been using PHP for about a year now. I started with it because our CRM at my tech support job was having issues, and the dev had too much on his plate. I stuck with it because the UI is already written... and I've been playing with HTML since I was a nerdy teenager. I wanted to get used to coding before having to deal with separate libraries, and not having to compile or worry much about portability is nice too.

I look forward to hopefully becoming an accepted member of this community!
