Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hi,
I'm Ben Acheson. I design and build basic websites, but my specialities are usability and SEO.
When I say SEO I mean genuine professional SEO - a digital marketer and technologist. As opposed to the usual offshore full-time spammers that claim the title and give the rest of us a bad name.
These fools know just enough about SEO to spam their clients' websites with worthless irrelevant links that may boost irrelevant toolbar pagerank, but have no benefit in terms of traffic and will likely be detected and ignored, with the risk of the site being penalised by Google in extreme cases. They also force forums like this to adopt tedious anti-spam measures.
This is a great forum and it's good to be here.

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hi,
I'm new here, well my first post was actually assisting someone so this is my second post but still new.
Before learning to develop i used to use wysiwyg editors and got tired of there limitations and coding standards but still good when you want to whip someone quick together.
Been developing in PHP, MySQL now for about 2 years on and off and of course the box standard xhtml, css etc. Learnt allot since then and well guess we will always carry on learning. I have built a fully pledged membership website which is up and running and works great and have added to it over the past two years.
I am currently doing a complete redesign and allot of code rewrite because as time has gone on i have found more efficent useful ways to develop.
I am currently looking into PDO and OOP to get a feel for it. PDO is more of a priority rite now for database security reasons but look forward to learning even more although it does give me a headache sometimes lol; a good break solves that
My future prospects is to just carry on learning and enjoying what i am capable of doing. I am hoping to delve into jQuery soon to but want to focus on my php etc still for the time being, i rather just get already made js scripts for now to help me out when i want something fancy going on.
Well that's a quick bit about me and my current adventures.

I;m planning to dedicate my last few years in college - and also my thesis - to PHP and MySQL. I love everything about it and i have wild imaginations with it! I love Functions and i love debugging code, thought its weird i solve some of my classmates complicated codes and i find my problems to be solved as with a lacking closing tag. LOL.
Anyways, hope i enjoy my stay in here and hope guys can help me with some problems of my own

Hello, my name is Dylan (SlothScripts if you'd rather.)
I'm new to the forums (duh!) but not so new to PHP. Been into it for a while, but recently took my interest to the next level starting a YouTube channel, and getting more interested in helping people grow the love for it which I have. I am pretty friendly, and although I am not the best coder in the world, I can often times help you with whatever problem may have arose: so do not be shy
