Hi! I'm from Sweden and I'v been programming PHP for about 6 years. Seems to be a nice community, where to share and discuss different issues. I'v just started with Zend Framework written in PHP and combine it with JQuery. That's one of the subject I am intressted in.
See you!

hey I'm Chris.

I'm a developer for a digital agency. Mostly php but some javascript and jquery as well as the standard front end html and css.

brief history:
started 6 years ago with html, moved to flash cos i thought it was cool, still remember a fair bit of AS2 and some AS3 but its pointless knowledge most of the time.
moved to more html and css based work with joomla as the main platform for sites.
learned more about php by making a basic cms while i was unemployed.
started freelancing.
got picked up a couple of years ago by the agency i am at now.
do a lot more advanced php development but still have a ways to go when it comes to OOP.
I build my own stuff into Joomla for easier projects but have my own framework CMS to develop more specific custom stuff in.

Joined this forum in hopes that i can contribute and learn more about my trade.

Nice to meet you all. :)

Ahoy!
I've been programming since I got my very own Maxar 8088, and I really got into it when I hooked up that Commodor VIC-20.
Since then I have worked with GWBASIC, BASIC, Visual Basic, Batch Files, Perl, PHP, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, JAVA, VBA, and maybe a couple others that escape me at the moment. I don't expect to ever be an expert programmer in any one language, but I'm okay with that as I seem to be able to learn new languages quickly as it's all the same to me with varying syntaxes.
I hope one day that there will be a best language to use and we programmers can stop having to learn and understand 6+ languages just to make something nice.

Yo, I'm Callum and like a lot of people i'm a new guy round here,

I found this site on google and as my skills increase i hope to be around here much much more but here's my history.

I've been a technology student for the last 4 years starting in HTML and CSS, as my skills increased I moved on to move advanced levels soon being able to design build and maintain sites for clients. As my technical skills increased I looked into other area's so I volunteered as an IT Technician at my school. From there I started to learn about servers in an business environment (windows server 2003 based) including MySQL, Active Directory and VBS. I am not a hardware and software student at college in Nottingham where I hope to become a form of network administrator or installer in the next few years.

I ride motorbikes in my spare time and rock out with my band (guitarist).

So that's me, See Y'all Around
