As far as topics are concerned I'm big in to hardware and I have a minor interest in the politics that effect technology to some extent. I also try to keep tabs on clientside technology (really if you know me then you know it's going to be years before I start complaining about the limitations of PHP!
As far as websites for tech news are concerned I sort of follow Tom's Hardware though participating in commentary hasn't been all that rewarding. I used to read /. but it's nothing more then a cesspool of hormonally imbalanced griefers whose idea of karma is minimally two chips short of a motherboard. I think style wise I like Ars Technica. Fudzilla has my favorite format for hardware news. The Inquirer is a news site I frequent (British tech news site, not the taboo story "magazine" or whatever). I also frequent browser rendering engine blogs: IE blog, Opera Desktop Team, WebKit blog, mozillaZine (which has been mostly dry for a couple years now), the official Mozilla blog on occasion, and the KHTML blog on very rare occasion. Google's tech news section is another generalized tech news page I go to.
