Video Issues

Post by social_experiment »

I have a client that is really fixed on having a full-screen-high-quality-no-distortion-whatsoever-video playing on the website. I've looked for solutions to this and although i found options that allow fullscreen viewing, the problem is the distortion / pixelation that occurs when the video is stretched beyond it's original size.

I've given these answers to the client :

1. Video off such a high quality is only possible with a DVD format; this would mean that a plug-in is required because i am only aware of the following supported formats : .mp4, .flv, .ogg, .webm.
2. If a video can be viewed in that specific format, it's size would be very large and bulky.

Is there any video playback option which would give a loss-less playback at fullscreen? Are the two reasons i gave valid in their assumptions?
