Sugesting improvments

Post by iFlex »

I dont know if you already know this but arround 63% of visitors sign up to forums beacuse of the visual image, so what I think should happen is use more PHPBB templates or some custom theemes that users can change. On my old forum I trialed this idea and found that with the default design I had 3 signups per week :x and with the custom theeme wich was prety eyecathing i had 12 :P.

So thats my idea, you dont have to take it into account and im one of the 37% that sign up to forums beause I find them usefull! (Thats why i signed up to this!).

Those are users we care about. In my opinion users attracted by catchy design alone are unlikely to post anything useful.

Well, actually I do not sign up in forum which design are annoying my eyes, but exactly because of this, the default phpbb, ipb, smf and vbulletin templates are good choice for a forum like phpdn - everybody is used to with them.
