Auto Login Broken?

Post by Stoneguard »

Anyone else having to re-login each time they visit the site? I have been working fine up until today. Now every time I close the browser, I have to login again next time I come back.

It's because of the new server we have. Look at the URL. The cookie isnt' set to that URL, but rather, devnetwork.net.

Once the DNS rolls over, everything will be back to normal.

Auto login is still not working for me.
I've set up a few domains, and I've never known it to take more that 2-3 days for a new DNS setting to "take."
Could something else be amiss?

Yep, done that. Cleared cached files, cleared history, cleared all cookies that reference devnet or any similar name.
(Your question is a reasonable one: I did all that before I posted, but should have said so.)
The link I am using to access is http://vip.dnsprotect.com/~devnetwo/forums/portal.php

Wow, I'm already on:

viewtopic.php?p=63395#63395

Anyhow, did you also try it on a different browser? Or maybe a different computer, but using the same internet connection. I'm guessing there's somewhere in the line, someplace is "not up-to-date".

You should be using http://forums.devnetwork.net/. If you bookmarked the vip.dnsprotect.com address, that could be your problem. Use forums.devnetwork.net

Cool, that did the trick. At one point I got a "you are being forwarded to" message, so I changed my link to that address.

My bad. I had a "brain fade" and forgot how the DNS system works. Should have known better.
