I could put up some money as a prize, once the Google check comes in. But rather than money, wouldn't you guys like to see a book, or maybe a subscription to various things?

I mean, is their enough interest in this type of thing? Personally, I never liked the contests. Though, this is just me.

And do we really need another coding contest? Their are so many out there, it gets to be something like "Oh, yet another coding contest. Joy." Can't we come up with something a bit more original?

Something where people can win something, but not a coding contest?

Oh, and just in the interest of being open and fair regarding the Google Adwords.

Jason,

A book is exactly what I was thinking or maybe some PHP gear or something. If you have another Idea I personally would love to hear it, I just thought it might be fun to have a contest of some sort to help pass time.

great idea! since this will be for people who are not exectly experts in php etc??(not sure atm), that would help them, as for php gear..hmm....if there is "PHPDN ROCKS" shirt/jacket then that would be cool! cos it costs less, and it helps phpdn too?

I think a hockey jersey with the PHPDN logo on the front and your username across the back would rock ;) I would buy one
