maybe its because im a newbie myself, but i think there should be a newbie forum just for those annoying questions us newbies like to ask :D

PHP Code is the forum to post questions for beginner/intermediate PHP developers, PHP Theory and Design is for advanced discussion.

As a port of call for newbies, I'd generally advise reading the tutorial section first. Many questions are answered there. Use the Search function. And click on the first link in my sig ;)

I'd agree with Patrick: PhpCode is the place to ask basic questions. This is probably the best place on the net for newbie queries - go for it.
