#1: the text boxes and buttons etc have a really ugly black border... I think its really ugly.. plz put it back the way it was..
#2: Could you please make a forum where users can post their scripts so people can critique them?
#3 and also, i know its more efficient that when u are reading posts etc you get that nav bar on the left now.. its too ugly and distracting
Thanks for reading my suggestion

Re 1. I have to fix the style's just a bit for background colors, and missing images that got messed up when I moved the style sheet, bear with me on that.
Re 2. We are working on that as a completely separate feature.
Re 3. We will see. Personally, I like it. So there's that. I like having all the forums quickly accessible to me at all times. Since we are adding more forums, the list is getting longer, I needed a efficient way to display it.

Oh, and don't take that as me saying I won't take you advice. Rather, it's me saying "Yes, I hear you; however, I would like to try this out." After all, it might grow on you.

The links should be aligned with the beggining of the topic (first post).
It looks messy now, but I think it'd look fine if it was aligned.

I actually tried that, and it didn't look as good. Consider that the buttons and what not would have been over the forums list, making the list of forums appear apart of the topic.
As it stands now, the forum list is in the same position on the front page, the forum list page, and the topic view page. It is in the same position, making it a consistant feature.
I am writing a topic up in the new UI Design/Usability forum that covers the how's and why's of what I did, my reasoning behind it, and then a call for help.
=)

I was gonna say that but I didnt want to sound more naggy than I already am. I was a bit too vague when I was saying ugly. Out of place seems more appropriate, and I believe some sort of lining-up would fix the issues at hand

What about using a bit of javascript, cookie, or personal setting to make the sidebar "rollout" (either snap or animated) above the thread pane, where maybe there's a button or option in the personal settings to "pin" it like it looks now.. this way, both sides of the sidebar viewing, can get it.

I will agree with feyd, its really 'crunched' with the sidebar full of the tables w/ links.
harder to read the topics when you are so use to the way it 'use' to be
good ole days

some way of knowing new posts are in a given forum in the sidebar would be nice I think.

I agree with that left nav bar in the boards when browsing messages. Looks horrid IMO.
