You should really get a new domain...

I think that registering http://www.devnet.net or just http://www.dev.net would be much better.

Both domains you mentioned are taken, and devnetwork.net has been linked to on thousands of pages. Obviously, the domain name worked fine for most people trying to get here.

It works for me too, don't worry for that, I just think the other two are better looking, better sounding, and much easier to remember.

Don't forget already taken, so they couldn't register them anyway.

This forum could possibly be number 1 for PHP forum.

Doing a few quick searches on google show where the forum could be boosted to enhance search engine positions.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... tnG=Search

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... tnG=Search

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... tnG=Search

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... tnG=Search

Allin text is based on all the content on the website.

Allin title is based on all the title tags. So by including PHP Forum on a lot of pages brings you further up the charts in this search.

and same goes for all the other searches.

The positions are great I found my way here no problem.

Just a few suggestions.

The open directory is such a pain in the ass to get listed these days. Due to this i do not think it is valued as much as it was but its still a link and it is a trusted human edited directory. Which means that sites listed there are highly unlikely to be spam illegal etc

I just wish they would get there act together.

A seo section in here would be intresting. Programmers look and understand things differently.

There is lots of things in php that you can do that has the potential to be harmfull to ones website.

Often when programmers hit seo fourms asking about programming information and effects of what that would do from an seo point of view is poor.
