Personally, I'd say there isn't really enough material to fill a full section. What material there is is amply covered by existing resources like webmasterworld, searchenginewatch, and similar sites.

I don't think there is sufficient need. If we were getting 10 requests a week for SEO questions, then maybe it would be worth it. But we barely get 1/10th that.

Search engine optimization is really not that difficult.

That said, there might be value in a tutorial on it.

Agreed. I think it's one of those things that many people seem to forget about from the outset and then think of as an afterthought. It works much better if you design webistes with SEO in mind and a tutorial there could be great :)

Personally, I think Compliant, Context-Sensitive XHTML = SEO, good linking policies, adding meta tags and using simple words in your site descriptions, and that's all there is to it.
