RSS mod

Post by Roja »

In four different topics already, people have requested RSS feeds, and they've been mentioned as "possible additions".

Since the requests have been coming in for almost two years now, any chance we can get a yes/no on it?

Personally, I'd love it.

I know it is definantly on our to-do list, not sure what going on at the moment though.

Would be a nice feature

Yes and Yes :)

I'll post back when we plan to implement this... sometime over this next week I'd hope. As you may have noticed we're trying to get to the bottom of a small issue with the

Code: Select all

A way to avoid this kind of confusion and reposting would be to make a thread (locked, mod-edit-only), that lists the iterms that are "Yes, we are committed to doing these in roughly this order".

If the mods don't know, I assure you, the community doesn't. :)

I dont suggest release dates, because sometimes things break (see the php tags!), but a general order (and list!) would be nice so we don't keep re-requesting the same things.

Similarly, a list of features you don't want to include (perhaps with a link to the discussion about why?) would also be helpful/welcome.

Simple idea - knock out confusion, keep the public informed, dissuade them from re-posting old requests and pestering the Mods. Imagine denying Roja a reason to post...;)

I can confirm that this mod will be installed either tomorrow evening UK time or the day after if any of us can't squeeze time in then. We'll inform you when it's done ;)

Do you know if this includes FF 1.5? I've been loading the feed for about 5 minutes now with no activity.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

What extension are you using? Sage? It works for me. That post needs editting actually... it shouldn;t matter with this mod cos that was an older mod ;)

I'm not using an extension, I'm setting up the feed as a Live Bookmark. It's working now, because I put rss.php rather than just forums.devnetwork.net/rss.php.

My bad.
