Skinning the forum...

Post by Jim »

Are you guys going to edit the style?

The default style is pretty clean, but some things should be changed about a bit to make the place look more... customized.

For instance, the "Delete This Post" text looks kinda bad when viewing topics, and a few other things need to be changed, like the way the topic name displays above the post. It looks blocky and unclean.

Just an idea tho.

Maybe...I like the feel of the boards, and frankly, I simply can't find enough time in the day to get things done. heck, I have to get around to moving my sites layout and design over.

Well, if you want some help I'd be glad to offer it. So long as it isn't huge ;)

I'm busy with my site, too, though it isn't as high-quality as this one (it's in the sig...) and I'm skinning the VB2 theme they've created for PHPBB.

Lord knows I love PHPBB... :)

I'd be for a new theme as well....but I certainly understand why the default "subSilver" is the only one available. The phpBB script set is rather large and complex, and they only supply one theme with your installation....

I'm running phpBB as well, and would like to have some theme that jived with my original site theme instead of modifying the main site to match the forum. However, I have no idea where to begin, other than with Photoshop or some such, <yt> which have I not....</yodatalk>

I believe that themes are available, but cost $$??? 8O

Also, where's the header modified from? :?:
