heh

My pc is on 24/7 too, but to avoid that problem I simply close FF whenever I'm not using it or not at the PC.

FF is by far the best browser out there IMO, and until an issue arises where it's impossible or too difficult to avoid with a simple workaround, I'll keep using it.

"Firefox leaks"

"I love Firefox"

"I use IE"

"IE sux"

"wtf? rofl, bbq."

"What about Opera?"

"I use lynx... 'cause I'm a badass".

There. Done. Move along.

Or you could ditch Firefox and go with Opera and never have to worry about a memory leak or any of the other myriad of Firefox oddities. ;)

Plus it is still faster than even FF2. (hmm, probably shouldn't use FF2 as that reminds me of Final Fantasy 2.)

Opera is an alright browser. If I had to choose between opera and IE, well, opera all the way. But as long as Firefox remains as extensible and widely supported as it is, I use it. And I close it when I am not using it because d11 is right, the memory usage will literally kill your computer. I have experienced it, researched and will 100% back up what d11 already stated.

PS This part of the thread was horribly :offtopic: but I can say that folks using IE are  to not at least give Firefox a try.

PPS The smilies window does not render properly on Firefox 2 with the new smilies added.

We don't need a browser debate. Period.
