Idea for a new folder: Foreign language questions.

Post by onion2k »

It seems to me that there are a lot of users here who struggle to get answers because of the language barrier. If your first language isn't English it can be tricky to put your question across in a way that lets someone answer it. So, as a little experiment, how about a folder where people can ask questions in other languages? I imagine it'd be quite low traffic, and questions wouldn't be answered very quickly, but is it worth a try? Given that we get a lot of these threads I guess there aren't many non-English PHP forums around so perhaps we could lead the way?

But pay attention that if somebody doesn't post anything to thread it doesn't mean this thread isn't useful for him.
If you somebody begins a really interesting topic in a foreign language other member won't be able to read it.

Probably would make moderation kind of tough...

Also would make this board even more unwieldy than it already is. Like the intention, but don't think we can put it into practice.

-1. It's better for them to learn English since de-facto it's programmers' international language.

Yeah. I always find it interest to see English syntax, and then suddenly foreign lettering.

You're guessing wrong, I'm afraid. National php forum niche is already well covered, at least here in Europe.
