HTMLPurifier forum

Post by alex.barylski »

Perhaps not as popular, but equally deserving...

I think HTMLPurifier deserves it's own Forum on here much like SwiftMailer does...???

I occassionally track both projects and like to see what is going on...it would make my bump and grind a lot easier if there was a dedicated forum to HTMLPurifier... :)

One vote from me :)

I'd have to disagree. Swiftmailer has a lot of users who have difficulty using it, especially users without OOP experience. Unless HTML Purifier is as dependent on programming skill as SwiftMailer is, then the forum would end up being virtually empty.

It should be noted that HTML Purifier already has its own forums, whereas it seems that DevNetwork is the only place Swift Mailer users can post their questions. That being said, if having a forum over here lowers the barrier of entry to DevNetwork users for asking questions (I've noticed that a lot of people here PM me rather than post in HTML Purifier's forum), I'm all for it.

Of course, the moderators may think differently. :-P

P.S. Superdezign: I get all sorts of questions on my forum, ranging from heavy voodoo customization stuff to general PHP questions.

8O I was completely unaware. I just knew I didn't hear any questions here. My bad.

My thought is if Ambush has a forum that is active and that he is currently supporting, it is better to let that one thrive rather than confuse his users with two forums to go to.

But, as an FYI, this topic is being discussed by the mod team.
