Hi
This website is a BBBIIIIGGGGG source for php newbies
but for those like me, it's very difficult to remain online to read the posts while I use dial up connection and pay for every more minute.
Is there a way for us to read the site offline ( have a backup of the forum for example)

I'm on dial-up as well. This forum is very dial-up friendly and loads quickly. There are too many posts for a dial-up user to be able to download them all.

The easiest method would be to download the rss feed:
rss.php
Then you can read offline at your leisure.

I bet a SQL dump of DevNetwork's database (with sensitive info scrubbed out, of course) would be too unwieldy to use. Maybe we need a Wiki.

Even if it weren't, you really wouldn't want to download it over dial up.

Plus, it'd be cluttered with random, unnecessary posts. Like this one.

The manual works well, that shouldn't take too long to download.

The database is a minimum of 500MB of data, there's no way we'll provide a download for that unless we get a massive bandwidth boost. Even then, unlikely.
