I start Modifying a website, but where or which code?

I start Modifying a website, but where or which code?

I just want to ensure that when I'm updating this there’s no errors found. Because all of the codes was connected to each other.

If it's not too big, scan the whole thing. If it is too big, just concentrate on the parts you want to build on top of.
