Help about Photoshop and Dreamweaver image slice?

I designed a website in Photoshop and sliced it up and saved as HTML and images. I then opened it up in Dreamweaver and turned my slices into links using <a href="..."><img src=".."></a>. After I do that it adjusts the slices and leaves white spaces when you view it in the browser. So, basically it is shifting my slices out of whack. Please Help.
